One phrase reminding us of all the sadness in our world. Anywhere but here.
Having spent a number of hours swimming in low grade fear lately, I get it. Anywhere but here. It’s a humbling and real sentiment for many of us.

My typical escape hatch is work. For the retreat I’m offering this week I’ve been steeping myself in Zoketsu Norman Fischer’s wise and wonderful book, The World Could Be Otherwise, an elegant treatise on the six perfections. Guiding us to turn steadily toward even the stickiest situations, I’m pretty sure this turning toward is the route.
